Creating Test Collection
1. Steps
- Administration
- Click on Manage Collections
- Click on Add
- Putting a code and a name to the collection
- Code: test
- Collection Name: Test Collection
- Select the language of the collection
- Check Integrated Document Management (including tasks)
- Record
- Rebuild the cache through the Administration button, click on the Update Center and choose Restart and rebuild cache.
Permission
You may not be given permission, if so, you will need to contact your organization's Constellio administrator to create the collection.
2. Populate the collection
2.1 Creating Structures and Records
- Use of templates
- Adapt templates to your needs (one line = one record)
- Import data
- Piloting
- Import Records
- Drag and drop templates. The order of import is: Administrative Units, Retention Schedule, Classification Plan, Records.
- Add documents in certain folders in order to have a complete corpus. For my part, I have a "Blank documents for tests" folder that helps me always have examples on hand.
2.2 Create a user (if required)
- Administration
- Manage security
- Add a user
- Fill in the fields: Username, First Name, Last Name, Email, Password
- Giving the necessary access
- Give the necessary roles
Little tip
By opening an incognito page, you can connect two accounts at the same time.
2.3 Creation of other elements as required
- Metadata schema
- Security groups or classification
- Workflows
- Public Portal (if applicable)
- Configurations
Careful
If you make changes to the system configurations, the changes will be applied to all your collections.
