The Navigation Menu

The navigation menu provides access to the various Constellio modules. These include the reception, the personal space, the tasks, the favourites, the downgrade, the audit, the piloting, the recycle bin and the system.

Depending on the roles and modules attached to Constellio, the visible sections may vary.

1. Personal space

This section displays your personal space, which is unique to each user. The personal space is modulated according to your role and your access.

This section brings together the following features:

  • The Batch processing : The batch jobs page allows you to see the status, number of records processed, and the progress of batch jobs, SIP archives, and reindexes in progress and performed.
  • Temporary records : The system retains content that retains data import and export, SIP archives, vault analysis reports, and consolidated PDFs for 7 days.
  • The User Documents : The Office is a personal temporary filing location that allows the user to upload documents to Constellio and then file them.

5. Tasks

This section displays the tasks assigned to you.

Notification system
A notification system notifies you when tasks are assigned to you. A blue square appears with the number of unread tasks and an email is sent to the user. To enable the email notification system, Configure email server

6. Favourites

This section displays your Favourites groups and the Favourites groups that have been shared with you.

7. Decommissioning

Use this section to generate downgrade lists, create a license plate, and generate reports.

This section brings together the following features: 

  • Disposition : Allows the creation of multiple downgrade lists
  • Create containers : Allows the creation of license plates, records designating the boxes used in the bins. 
  • Containers by departments : Allows you to view all existing license plates for each administrative unit.
  • Reports : Allows you to generate PDF reports of the different data structures in the collection. 
  • SIP Archives Descriptors: SIP Archive Descriptors allow multiple descriptors to be created to avoid filling out a new creation form when creating a SIP Archive.

8. Audit

This section allows you to view the complete history of all actions taken in Constellio.

9. Administration

This section allows you to manage and control the filing space, create tools for document management and set system options.

10. Trash

Use this section to manage the restoration and permanent deletion of records.

11. System

This section allows you to see the status of the system. Icons are used to differentiate states. 


Situations Requiring Action  

A significant error has occurred, server configurations are inadequate, or reindexing is required. The server is in a state of emergency and an intervention must be made quickly.

States Requiring Investigation 

Server configurations are inadequate or the license is invalid/not installed. An investigation of the problems should be done, but the server is not in a state of emergency.

States meeting expectations 

The server is well configured.
